------ performed by Metallica

I do nothing but cried...!!! | Reviewer: Ryuz | 12/12/07

Yeah , Very touchin' song of Metallica , I didn't know about my mother's love for me in many years , but after this song , I've made up my mind again and think about all the mothers' love for their sons , James must loved his mother too much to write this song !!!

Speechless | Reviewer: Sahil | 10/2/07

a very nice song, very touching too. its about how he feels his mothers absence, and is angry at her for not getting treatment and dying as a result. a very touching song, besides, the music on this ones awesome as well.
Metallica all the way! \m/

Love this song | Reviewer: GuitarNova | 9/27/07

It describes My mother and I's relationship...I thought she loved me to much and was sheltering me. when I finnally told her, she died soon after. Then I found myself missing that overprotection that I had grown to love. Sad how things work out that way huh? I love the song because it reminds me of my mother. :) In a good way.

good work | Reviewer: osso | 9/4/07

it sounds like country, but i still like it very good.it is such a beatiful song, and james sings very well.i know that it is many who hates this song, and that`s sad.because, they have maybe better ballads, like nothing else matters and fade to black, but this is still a great one.

deep... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/10/07

This is a great song about James' mother death from cancer. The band has touched on it before in The God That Failed (The Black Album), but that conveyed a different string of emotions. While that song was mroe about his anger at her for not seeking proper treatment (christian scientists) and dying as a result, this song focuses on his need for a mother, and the effects of growing up without one. This song is on the complete opposite end of the scale in terms of Metallica's usual sound (moreso than Nothing Else Matters), but they've pulled it off brilliantly.

so un-metallica | Reviewer: swetha | 6/16/07

ive havent heard many songs of metallica.. thisis one which held my attention... a hard core lyrics lover, i fell in love this song.. im a 17 yr old and a rebel at home.. a few tiffs with my mom.. a little while later, i came across this song.. coincidence? a brilliant piece of writing.. moving music, just tugs our heartstrings.. i dont have any other words for this brilliant tribute to a mother.. a son's folly and how dark life is for a person who is filled with remorse...
