These direct and sensible lyrics, composed together with a acoustic sound and great vocals should already be a classic. It´s a shame that you dont see more of these genious group. The lyrics are a poem written by a young Palestinian and are about how this person’s daily life is. That’s what makes this something more than a song. In contrast to the songs beauty is the hate indirectly formulated against Israel and Israelites defined as the persons enemies. This view doesn’t hold that empathy for Israelites that the writer wants from the American, whom is being addressed in this song. Even though the very complicated conflict is looked upon very one-sided it’s impossible not to feel great sympathy for the situation for the writer. This song in a way holds a lot of knowledge why the fighting continue. I guess as long the two parties look upon each other as enemies and don’t have any sympathies for the other party’s situation there can be no peace.
