Every song has it's own style. although Blackened is an awesome song i usually go for this disc before any other metallica disc. They say a band's first album is it's best, I definitely think this holds true for Metallica. Don't get me wrong, RtL, MoP and AJfA are all in my top 10%, but this album is the bitch queen of all metal albums. Plus, they had Dave Mustaine. It pisses me off that the biography doesn't say anything about this album and barely mentions Mustaine. Every time I listen to this album I'm always disappointed afterwards when I image how good they could have been if they stayed with metal and didn't sell out to pop rock. If you've listened to this album and their new stuff and still think they didn't sell out, then we'll just have to agree to disagree. I just hate it when people automatically defend them because they like their new crap but haven't even listened to the old.
