Inspired by the "skiffle boom", a student at Quarry Bank
School in Liverpool named John Lennon decided to form a
group in 1957 which laid the foundation to what was to
become the most famous rock band of all time. John's
original name was "The Blackjacks". However, this name only
lasted a week and John used the school name as inspiration
for the later name "The Quarry Men" in March 1957. John
sang and played guitar, Colin Hanton played drums, Eric
Griffiths on guitar, Pete Shotton on washboard, Rod Davis
on banjo and Bill Smith on tea-chest bass. Bill was soon
replaced by Ivan Vaughan.
John was inspired by "Heartbreak Hotel" and became a
fan of American rock 'n' roll music. He introduced songs by

------ About the song I Me Mine performed by The Beatles
You do realize that Bob Dylan was influenced by the Beatles for most of his songs and does remake them just as frequently as writing his own. Dont get me wrong Bob Dylan is one of the world best song writers but no one that I can tell to this date has the raw talent and natural born musical expertise as The Beatles do. For guys that had no music theory knowledge in their background they sure did know alot about it.

------ About the song I Am the Walrus performed by The Beatles
Ok, whoever belives that that's really John Lennon's comment on the first page is really crazy. v.v Firstly John has been dead for about 20, 30, or 40 years? I mean really he was shot in 1980. (R.I.P.) But, as for the song, it's a complete work of art. :D In case you didn't know, the lyrics actually don't have a meaning. o; When John found out that scholars were trying to analyze Beatles songs, he wrote this song. So really, all it is just some random lyrics thrown together and in composition. Amazing how some of the best songs can have absolutely no meaning at all, isn't it? [;

------ About the song Blackbird performed by The Beatles
i am going to say my peace on this i have loved the beatles since i was a kid i loved the messages they promoted to love everyone and be good to eachother take care of the earth and such because it promotes my deepest spiritual belief and that is the traditional values of my grandfathers and grandmothers ive lived on and of the reservation since i was a child and i have suffered being who i am the beatles songs were a real big piece of mind for me all i can say about they're reigous beliefs is this if they had them or have them those who are alive thats they're business not mine or anyone elses if they want it to be public they will let it be known i personally dont care one way or the other what or who they worship or pray to or pray for its personally not my business so why make a fuss about all of this they wrote and sung some of the most beautiful music in history and as for the title black bird and where it came from its entirely possible they were talking about a woman of color because well what do the english call a woman a bird but taking that out of context is wrong if you want to say they were talking about a raven or a crow and that they are evil creatures from the devil not in my traditions we believe that the black bird is sacred he carries our spirits back to the creator the whole time singing his sorrowful song because of the loss of a beautiful spirit on this earth and he is the great mothers voice for losing yet another one of her beloved children so excuse me for not being christian or satanist and disagreeing with your spirituality but mine is my own as is the beatles its they're life let them live it

------ About the song Cry Baby Cry performed by The Beatles
Cry baby cry, make your mother sigh, she's old enough to know better.
The narrator is telling how the baby isn't crying when he is born (as a sign of the baby not breathing). He asks the baby to cry, to stop the mother from worrying if he's dead or alive (make your mother sigh, a sigh of relief. Also she's old enough to know better, as in she knows if the baby doesn't cry then he's dead).
Other lines like "The duke was having problems
With a message at the local bird and bee." indicate towards this.

------ About the song Rocky Raccoon performed by The Beatles
As far as i can see the comments related to LSD have all failed to mention the point that there were millions and millions of people that loved the beatles and appreciated their songs regardless of understanding them and/or tripping. So many people loved the beatles more or less than anyone on acid. and today acid isnt the most common thing around. and certainly isnt as popular as it was when the beatles were recording. bottom line, understanding music is not what its about. its about seeing something of yourself in the music and feeling the love they tried so hard to impress upon the people of the world. ofcourse the song makes u feel better or feel u understand it better when ur high cuz... your high.

I love my name. I've grown up my entire life listening to the Beatles, and this song as well.
I was named after this song, and I feel so priveledged. John was amazing, and so was his mother and his love.
It's one of my most favourite songs, and I've always loved it. I'm sure I always will.

------ About the song Day Tripper performed by The Beatles
Whoever said this song was not about Acid; well, you're wrong. In 2004, Paul McCartney did an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper where he explained that drugs influenced many of The Beatles' songs. He singled Day Tripper out as being about acid (LSD), but also said that people often overestimate the influence of drugs on their music.

------ About the song I'm so tired performed by The Beatles
First off, I do think all the information you provided is very interesting (if not terribly creepy) - but I however do not believe that Paul is dead.
I don't however think it's beyond imagination for there to actually be hidden messages in these songs, but with no real meaning.
The Beatles were a pretty jovial group, and there is a chance that they formulated the entire theory for their own entertainment.
Also, some people believe that Paul was replaced and the reason no one said anything was because the Beatles and their respective family members were under contract and had to comply with the record company's will to stay silent. However, The Beatles set up their own Apple Records in 1968, and by that point would have been able to tell the press had anything actually happened.
just some more food for though.

Okay, I may not have taken Orange Sunshine or Pink Microdot and I was born in 1990, but I get what you're saying Colleen and I agree. There's love in their songs and there's no need to try and see it any other way.

------ About the song Julia performed by The Beatles
I love this song! My friend's name is Julia and I told her to listen to this song. She cried when she heard it. I love John Lennon and the Beatles. This is probably one of my favorite Beatles songs. RIP John and George. Give peace a chance!
Regardless of what inspired this song, it's awesome. The Beatles forever!! We'll never really know the meaning, but I think it was based of the drug LSD. Many people just say it's about a drawing because they seen it on the Rockband: Beatles game, but I doubt it...as I said though, regardless of how it became, it's a good song!
Great Album Track | Reviewer: Ringo Dolenz
------ About the song What Goes On? performed by The Beatles
Beatles' album tracks were more than filler and often a lot better than other contemporary artists' singles. This one opens Side 2 of the UK "Rubber Soul" LP, and sound like it may have been recorded around the same time as "Run For Your Life", which closes the album.
The theory that it is based on an early John song makes sense for a number of reasons: firstly, because it is mainly John singing harmonies (whereas Paul sang on "Act Naturally" (on the UK "Help!" LP)); secondly, because it features the line "Tell Me Why", the title of a Lennon song from "A Hard Day's Night"; and, lastly, because, although it sounds like a fairly simple song (ie. no middle eight), it features a clever Lennon-esque play on words - the "but you" of "I used to think of no-one else but you" being the start of another line, namely "but you were just the same."
The production on this is great. The lead guitar is typical Harrison - great but not over the top. All the instruments sound clear and clean. "Rubber Soul" is probably the first Beatles album that had to be heard in stereo to do it justice, although I haven't heard the re-mastered mono albums.
All in all a great sounding track, a fine example of the Beatles at their best.
I think this is about the life story of George Harrison himself, about his girlfriend who moved into his arms, his best friend Eric Clapton. , so that he bilan dai "i do not know how someone controlled you". a very sad story .....

Looking through a Fat Bunion | Reviewer: Mark
------ About the song Glass Onion performed by The Beatles
Lennon purposely wrote I am the Walrus as he was amused at a school teacher who had a class looking analyzing his lyrics for meaning. He said "just wait 'til the little fu**ers try and figure this one out."
I'm thinking he used a similar methodology to come up with Glass Onion. I must admit that it is a tune with lots of intrigue.
It's about whatever you'd like to be. Greatest songwriters don't usually talk about the meaning of their songs cause they want them to mean something special to everyone. If the song were more specific then it would have much less fans of it...
So enjoy it and find the meaning for yourself, but keep it only to you.
